Ans. (i) They could not see properly.

(ii) They could not hear properly.

(iii) They could not eat properly.

(iv) They have pain in their knees and other joints.


2. How does Ravi bhaiya come to know so many things without seeing?

Ans. Ravi bhaiya comes to know so many things by feelings.


3. Have you ever needed a stick? When?

Ans. No.


4. Can you think when you may need a stick?

Ans. (i) When we get fracture.

(ii) When we have to climb a rock or a mountain.


5. How do we help those people who cannot see?

Ans. (i) By helping them to cross the road.

(ii) By offering them seat in buses.

(iii) By helping them in climbing upstairs.

(iv) By saying them interesting stories.


6. Is there any member in your family who cannot see, speak or hear? Do you know any such person? How do people help them with their work?

Ans. No.


7. Blindfold any one child in the group. One by one, the other children come to him or her quietly. The child who is blindfolded has to guess who the other child is, by touching him or her. Take care to make any sound. Do you know why?

Ans. This is so because children was recognize one another by the voice.


8. (a) How many children could recognize the others by touching?

Ans. (a) Two.

(b) How many children could recognize the other children by only hearing them?

Ans. (b) Four.

(c) Which was easier of the two?

Ans. (c) It was easier to recognize by hearing.


9. How many things can you recognize by only touching?

Ans. Clothes, glass, metals, wood etc.
